Groups and Events

The Counseling Center supports and provides several new groups, events, and screenings throughout each academic year.  We encourage you to attend any and all events and groups.

Groups Offered to All Students

“Walk and Talk” - A weekly walk where we aim to make positive connections with one another, talk about our lives, and establish a fun walking routine. Mondays at 3:30 on the LYCC concourse.

"Art Expressions” - A group to relax, have fun, and enjoy working on a variety of art projects.

National Eating Disorders Awareness Week

"Everybody Knows Somebody 5K"- 5K hosted by GWU Counseling Center to raise awareness of eating disorders. Funds raised are used to assist GWU students receiving treatment at eating disorder facilities.

National Depression Screening Day

Free Anonymous Online Screenings

Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to click on the the following link to take a free and completely anonymous screening. There you will find several screening options such as: Depression, Alcohol, Bipolar Disorder, Eating Disorders, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.
