Natalie Edwards Bishop, Ed.D. and Hannah Allford, MA are co-authors of "Learning from Failure: Using Collaborative Technology to Make the Feedback Loop Work," (pp 292-314), Prince Bull and Sagini Keengwe's, the Handbook of Research on Innovative Digital Practices to Engage Learners, IGI Global, 2019.

October 2019

Dr. Bishop was elected as the 2019-2020 vice-president and 2020-2021 president of the Reference, Instruction, and Outreach affinity group for the NCICU Library Collaborative. Dr. Bishop, Dr. Dennis, and Dr. Sterns co-presented at the 15th NCICU Assessment Conference on June 12th titled “Facing Assessment: Anticipating the Storm with a Plan, Partners, and Provisions,” based on strategies for anticipating potential roadblocks and preparing for emergencies by having a plan in mind, knowing who to contact, and by acquiring the necessary tools to meet the final goal. Dr. Bishop and Dr. Dennis co-presented at the 50th Metrolina Library Association Conference on June 5th titled “Sleeping with the Enemy: Demystifying Faculty/Librarian Relationships,” based on how librarians and faculty can build successful collaborative partnerships to support research and student learning. Dr. Bishop and Dr. Dennis also co-presented at the 63rd North Carolina Library Association Conference on October 16th on the topic of “Libraries: Spaces to Plug-In,” which focused on using data-driven decision-making to craft student-centered spaces within the library to foster scholarship and community.

October  2018

On September 28, 2018, Dr. Natalie Edwards Bishop collaborated with Hannah Alford to present "Learning from Failure:  Making the Feedback Loop Work" at the Georgia International Information Literacy Conference in Savannah, GA.  The following day, she joined with Pam Dennis, Hannah Alford, and Janet Land in a panel discussion between English faculty and librarians entitled "Learning Tips That Really Work: How Faculty Collaborated to Invoke Successful Learning Among Their Students."

On August 4, 2018, Dr. Natalie Edwards Bishop received her EdD degree and was awarded the Darlene J. Gravett Citizen Scholar Award.
