Dr. Hamrick’s presentation titled “Complicated Grief: Case Study Analyses of Surviving Surrogate End-of-Life Decision Makers’ Long-term Mental Health” has been accepted for a podium presentation at the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) 34th Annual Conference scheduled for Sept. 2020 in Orlando, FL.  This presentation is a culmination of mixed-methods collaborative research between Dr. Hamrick and colleagues at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Western Carolina University.

Dr. Hamrick has been selected for The Great 100 Nurses of North Carolina for 2018. The Great 100 is a professional award to recognize deserving individuals who have demonstrated excellence in nursing through compassionate care, dedication to their chosen fields, leadership, and community service.
