Photo of Dr. April GuenzlerDr. April Guenzler, May 2016 EDCI Graduate, has been named 2018 National Magnet School Teacher of the Year.  Dr. Guenzler, a teacher at Brooks Museums Magnet Elementary in the Wake County School System, was selected from a group of eight Regional Teachers of the Year, across the country.

Mrs. Smith was named Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools’ 2018 Principal of the Year.  She is the Principal at Northwest Middle School.

One of 3 “Principal of the Year” Finalists for Cleveland County Schools.  Mrs. Barbee is principal at Jefferson Elementary School.

Dr. Jay Human – DEOL – Class of 2017
Dr. Human took the lead in reorganizing the Gaston County Animal Control division. It is now a national model for law enforcement animal control programs.

April celebrates a new leadership position with a Behavioral Health Organization’s Management Team in Organizational Leadership and Community Development.
