Welcome to Gardner-Webb Online!

National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements Logo

As a university committed to excellence and innovation, Gardner-Webb University offers a limited number of distance learning courses and programs in order to make the University accessible to more students. Each of our Schools and Departments at Gardner-Webb ensures that faculty members who teach distance learning courses are well-prepared to deliver a quality and engaging experience to distance learners.

Gardner-Webb offers a variety of distance learning opportunities at both the graduate and undergraduate level. Fully online programs and courses are taught 100% online and do not require on-campus class meetings. Hybrid or blended programs and courses meet on-campus and online and offer a blend of the two environments. Both online and hybrid courses may require regularly scheduled virtual class meetings or proctored final exams.

Professional Licensure

When applicable, Gardner-Webb’s online programs qualify a candidate for licensure in the state of North Carolina. Before beginning a licensure program, a student who intends to work in a state other than North Carolina should contact the appropriate state licensure authority in order to determine whether North Carolina licensure requirements meet that state’s requirements or whether additional requirements apply. It is the student’s responsibility to confirm and comply with the licensure requirements in any state other than North Carolina.
